Ask your child how many words they were able to write in 15 minutes.  Social Studies: We learned about the Fathers of Confederation. So far we have learned about Sir John A. Macdonald and Sir George Etienne-Cartier. If you have plans to pick your child up early from school, or bring them late, please be sure to let us know so we can ensure your child is not on a walk at that time.  Here are some highlights from our week: Wellness: We have spent time learning about personal responsibility and respect.  We learned about the four steps to accepting consequences for our actions (positive and negative) 1. Say "Thank you" if you are being rewarded. 2. If you get in trouble, say "okay" in a calm voice and don't argue. 3. If you feel upset, use a preferred calming tool. 4. Follow instructions from an adult for how to make things better.  Math: - finished addition and subtraction of decimal place value.
