This week at school we did the following: Math: - continued to learn about factors, multiples, prime and composite numbers - continued practicing our basic multiplication and division facts within 100 Literacy: - change y to i when adding "e" suffixes (-es, -er, -est, -ed) - writing a story with a clear beginning, middle, and end - continued with Daily 5 (5 literacy rotations: Writing, Word Work, Teacher Time, Read to Self, and Cursive) Social Studies: - in the colony of New France, there were settlements (Port-Royal, Quebec City) - the definition of "colonization" is: when one group of people takes control of a land and the people already living there to use its resources for their own benefit.
